“Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ely by IHG is the best alternative, in my opinion, to The Prospector Casino right next door. Breakfast is filling and free coffee is available in the lobby 24/7 for the coffee lovers like me. The not so good was that the fridge in my room did not have a freezer, as a result, I had to eat the 3 frozen meals I brought with me all at once, otherwise they would have gone bad; the ice machine on my floor was not working, and the staff could be a tad friendlier. ...

“I really enjoyed this hotel and would absolutely return. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were such a plus for my son- our room was just steps away. We also enjoyed the discounted breakfast at the restaurant. The front desk staff was super personable and friendly even though there was a little snafu with our checkin. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room - even with free bottled water and cookies! Highly recommend for those passing through Ely!”

“Clean room. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Internet was good. Grocery store across parking lot very convenient. Had dog with us and there was area out back for him. ”

“TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!!! This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The hotel is super old, the bed and pillows are terrible, sheets stained , I didn’t even take a shower because the bathtub was stained and it grossed me out. The carpet is dirty and torn, There’s no microwave or refrigerator in the rooms (#114). By 7 PM there’s no one at the front desk anymore you need to call them and of course NO ANSWER!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this dump. Breakfast is just milk and...

“This is a great find in Ely. There is a bit of construction on the main drag but once done, it will be so much nicer and the downtown will be revitalized. This property is walking distance from downtown. They gave us a breakfast voucher for a local restaurant (in walking distance) and the food was top notch. The property is vintage, but relatively peaceful and super clean and tidy. I'm pretty sure it's headed for boutique chic in a few years. ”

“Dirty room, no soap to wash hands, only a half used toilet paper, the rug in that room was so old and dirty. Only because we were on the road for most of that day we stood there. Over priced by Expedia.com”
